1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give website operators information about how their site is being used. Jaganify.ai uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags) on our platform.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot use core features such as logging in, accessing your dashboard, or completing payments. They cannot be disabled.

  • Session authentication tokens (host login sessions)
  • CSRF protection tokens (security against cross-site request forgery)
  • Load balancer and server routing cookies

2.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings to provide a personalized experience.

  • Language and region preferences
  • Subscription plan context for UI display
  • Dashboard display settings (e.g., table sort order, view preferences)

2.3 Analytics Cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our platform, which features are most used, and where improvements are needed. Data collected is aggregated and anonymized where possible.

  • Page visit counts and navigation paths
  • Feature usage statistics (QR code generation, AI chat volume)
  • Error and performance monitoring
  • Session duration and engagement metrics

2.4 Third-Party Service Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use. We do not control these cookies, and they are subject to the third party’s own cookie policies.

  • Stripe (payment processing): Used for fraud prevention and secure checkout — https://stripe.com/cookies-policy
  • AWS CloudFront / WAF: Infrastructure performance and security cookies
  • Analytics providers: Subject to our data processing agreements

3. Cookies in the Smart Guest Assistant (Guest Experience)

When a guest scans a QR code and accesses the Smart Guest Assistant, the following applies:

  • A session cookie is set to maintain the guest’s AI chat session during their visit (expires when the browser is closed).
  • A local storage entry may be used to remember the property context so guests do not need to re-enter a PIN after initial verification (duration: 24 hours or until browser data is cleared).
  • No persistent tracking cookies are placed on guest devices for advertising or cross-site tracking purposes.
  • Voice interaction data (if enabled by the host’s plan) is processed in real time and not stored by Jaganify.ai after the session ends.

Guests who wish to remove session data can clear their browser cache and cookies at any time.

4. AI Service Interactions and Data

When AI queries are sent to third-party providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, etc.), those providers may use their own tracking and logging mechanisms governed by their own policies. Jaganify.ai transmits queries over encrypted channels and does not attach identifying cookies to AI API calls. We recommend reviewing the privacy and cookie policies of our AI providers:

  • OpenAI: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
  • Google (Gemini): https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
  • Anthropic (Claude): https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

5. Wi-Fi Auto-Connect and Local Data

The Wi-Fi auto-connect feature does not use browser cookies. Wi-Fi credentials are delivered via encrypted QR code payload and processed natively by the guest’s operating system. Jaganify.ai does not place any tracking code or cookies through this mechanism.

6. How to Manage Cookies

6.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

  • Block all cookies (note: this will prevent you from logging in to the platform as a host)
  • Delete existing cookies from your browser
  • Set your browser to notify you when cookies are being set
  • Allow cookies from specific websites only

Instructions for managing cookies in popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

6.2 Opt-Out of Analytics

If you wish to opt out of analytics tracking, you may install a browser plugin such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use a browser that blocks tracking by default. Opting out of analytics cookies does not affect core platform functionality.

6.3 Do Not Track

Our platform respects “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser signals for analytics cookies. When DNT is enabled, we will not load non-essential analytics tracking on your session. Note that third-party services integrated with our platform may have their own DNT policies.

7. Cookie Retention Periods

The following table summarizes cookie retention by category:

  • Strictly Necessary: Session duration (expire when browser is closed) or up to 24 hours for PIN verification
  • Functional: Up to 30 days or until manually cleared
  • Analytics: Up to 13 months (aggregated; anonymized after 90 days)
  • Third-Party (Stripe): Up to 1 year per Stripe’s policy

8. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our data practices. We will notify registered hosts of material changes via email. The effective date at the top of this document indicates when it was last updated. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance.
